Session #12

Okay, I am back at Step 3 just starting to vary the location of the treat BEFORE progressing to a stand :) Hindsight being 20/20, after getting advice from Renee / Forum, I am now going to be focusing on the following:

*Keeping my hands either down by my side or behind my back so Gilley can't focus on my hands (not really visible in this vid)
*Vary the location of the treat more by rolling or tossing it away from the jump a bit more OR, treat near the base of the jump first, then toss a 2nd treat to create a start to my location for take-off or approach to the jump
*Not freak out if Gilley goes under the bar, just simply let her extinguish this behavior by not treating
*Click on descent so I can make sure she's not touched the bar in any way

We are a work in progress, especially me!

  3. Her caboose just seems so off the track to me.... but, I suppose she is learning how to do multiple things at once in conjunction with the treat moving on her at the last second :)

  5. It gave me that error yesterday - don't know why, but it is working today... I'm not really sure why? You can go to YouTube and search Gilley DJS 12 if it gives you probs.
